MORRISTOWN – Walters State Division of Workforce Training will offer OSHA 2017 Compliance & Training for medical and dental practices Friday, June 23. The one-day seminar istaught by an Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance specialist covering areas needed for compliance. The seminar will cover the following objectives: • New reporting and record-keeping requirements; • required site-specific hazard assessment; • written hazard control plan that meets current requirements; • pictogram and safety data sheets for hazardous chemicals;• preventing/responding to blood-borne pathogen exposures; and • new guidance for protecting temporary workers. The course will be held on Walters State’s Sevierville Campus from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost for early registration is $309.99 until May 30. Regular registration is $329.99.
