WANDA FAYE JOHNSON, 87, Washburn, passed away September 25. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and was born to James and Martha Merritt April 1,1930. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. Coyle Johnson; sister, Wilma Glenn; and grandson, Greg Johnson. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Pam Johnson of Washburn and David and Burma Johnson of Memphis; and grandchildren, Heather (Richard) Carpenter of Georgia, Whitney (Tim) Sands of Knoxville and Chad, Jonathan and Lance Johnson of Memphis. The family expressed thanks to the employees of Diversicare of Claiborne County for their care of “Mamaw.” A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, September 28 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge, with Rev. Mickey Long and Rev. Kevin Sexton officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 103 Worm Drive, Washburn, Tennessee 37888. Smith-Reagan Funeral Home of Rutledge is serving the family.
