DON D. “MOOCHER” CAIN, 75, Seymour, passed away Wednesday, October 11. He was born November 26, 1941 to the late Hugh and Velda Cain. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sevierville. He was a former member of the Volunteer Street Rod Association, and was the “Chief Brown Squirrel” of the Brown Squirrel Tours Car Group. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Jr. and Velda Cain; and brothers, Hugh III and John W. Cain. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joanie Cain; sisters-in-law, Emily Cain, Peggy Moore and Judy Roach; brother-in-law, Delbert “Red” Hall and wife, Connie; lifelong friend, Tommy Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews. The family offered their heartfelt thanks to many special friends who have been there for Moocher and Joanie. Funeral services were held 6 p.m. Saturday, October 14, at Bridges Funeral Home, with Rev. David Faulkner officiating. Family and friends met Sunday at Woodlawn Cemetery for interment. Pallbearers: Richey Cain, Brad Cain, Eugene Hubbard, Delbert “Red” Hall, Daryl Simmons, Rocky Fultz, Everett Johnson and Laymon Ford. Honorary pallbearers: The Brown Squirrel Tours Car Group.
