Runners participate in last year’s Night Owl 5k Run/Walk.

Night Owl 5K Run/Walk takes off Friday

BEAN STATION – The Harvest Pride Festival kicks off Friday with the seventh annual Night Owl 5k Run/Walk to benefit Bean Station Elementary School.  

The race will begin and end at Harris Court park, adjacent to Bean Station Town Hall.  

Registration will take place from 6 until 7:30 p.m., and the run/walk begins at 8 p.m. Awards will be given to the overall male and female, and first-place runners will win $100 and a plaque. A plaque will also be presented to second-place runners.  

Music and vendors will be onsite during the race.  

Registration is $20 the day of the race, and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit Bean Station Elementary School.
