RUTLEDGE – Applications are being taken for three- and four-year-old children at Head Start centers in Rutledge and Central Point.
A child must have reached their third birthday, but not older than five years old as of August 15, 2017 to be age eligible. The program is designed for low income families who meet certain eligibility requirements set by federal guidelines.
Head Start is a federally funded program providing health and social services, a pre-kindergarten readiness educational curriculum and a nutrition program that provides 2/3 of daily nutritional needs of children. Head Start is also interested in recruitment of children with disabilities or other health impairments.
