MOORESBURG – One man has been reported dead after the car he was riding in as a passenger crashed head-on into oncoming traffic, Friday night.

According to reports, Bobby B. Lewis, 42, Rogersville was riding as passenger in a 1994 Toyota Paseo driven by Remonia Blevins, 45, Rogersville, when the vehicle entered the northbound lanes of Hwy. 11W near its intersection with Moreland Drive, traveling southbound.

Blevins’ vehicle struck a northbound 2009 Ford Ranger head on.

According to reports, Lewis died at the scene and Blevins was transported from the scene via UT LIFESTAR helicopter.

The driver and passenger of the Ford Ranger were both listed as injured on a report issued by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

A second accident reportedly occurred when a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado and a 1998 Nissan Sentra, both traveling northbound, took evasive action to miss Blevins’ vehicle. The Silverado reportedly struck the Sentra. No injuries were reported in connection with the second accident.
