Pedestrian killed crossing Hwy. 25E 


BEAN STATION –  A Nashville man was killed Saturday, October 21, after he reportedly walked out in front of a car traveling northbound on Hwy. 25E in Bean Station. 

According to reports, A.D. Barker, 66, attempted to cross the road in the path of a northbound Hyundai Veloster, causing the vehicle to strike him.  

Alcohol or drug use was not thought to be a factor in the accident, although tests were requested for both the driver of the vehicle and Barker.  

No citations were issued, and no charges are sought.
