RUTLEDGE – Ridgeview Terrace of Life Care held its annual Senior Citizen Barbecue Thursday, October 5.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Mark Holland, who explained to the seniors the importance of getting their annual cancer screenings. The seniors enjoyed barbecue and all the fixings, prepared by the Ridgeview Terrace kitchen staff. The seniors were entertained by Cliff and Debra Jestice.
Deborah Wade of admissions and marketing said she was excited when she saw the crowd. Wade visits senior centers throughout the communities to play bingo and provide education for seniors. Seniors are encouraged to call their local senior center for time and details of all their activities.
The barbecue concluded with a number of door prizes for those in attendance.
The barbecue is an annual event the facility provides free for seniors in the community.
