Roy William Neal, 94, Knoxville, passed away Monday, October 30. He was a member and former deacon of Riverdale Baptist Church for most of his adult life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and longtime employee of Huttig Sash and Door Company. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn Davis Neal; parents, Thomas and Ruth Neal; and brothers, Lloyd and Edward Neal. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Harvey Booher; grandchildren, Chris (Suzanne) and Ashley Booher; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family expressed thanks to the staff and caregivers at Atria Weston Place for the wonderful, compassionate and loving care given to him during the last few months of his life. The family received friends Thursday, November 2 at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends met Friday, November 3 at Eastview Memorial Gardens for a graveside service, with Rev. Mike Vincent officiating. Military honors were provided by East TN Veteran Honor Guard.
