RUTLEDGE – A male juvenile was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with the latest bomb threat at Grainger High School.

Sheriff James Harville said because the individual is a juvenile he could not release any other information. Director of Schools Edwin Jarnagin also declined to comment on the incident.

The threat, the sixth of the current school year, occurred shortly before the end of the school day Friday. Students were escorted to the football stadium to wait for the school buses.

Earlier this semester, there were five similar threats in the girls and boys restrooms. A female juvenile was charged in two of the incidents.

“Access was limited for a time to one facility each for boys and girls. They continue to be closely monitored,” Jarnagin said.
