Everybody loves a parade: Grainger parades kick off Saturday

WASHBURN – Grainger County’s Christmas parade season will kick off with the Washburn and Bean Station parades this Saturday, December 2.

Washburn’s parade will begin at 1 p.m. Line up will begin at noon at B&C Paving on Beeler Lane.

Washburn High School’s senior class will host dinner following the parade in the school cafeteria.

Bean Station’s parade will begin at 6 p.m. Line up will take place at 4 p.m. and float judging will begin at 5 p.m. Prizes will be given for floats in first through third place.

First place will win $100, second place will win $50 and third place will win $25. Sharon Akins, Karen Frazier and Christy Welch will serve as judges.

The parade’s grand marshal will be Brittany Tarwater, of Local 8 News.

    What time does the Parade Start in Grainger County.
