Thomas Kitts, 66, Rutledge, born August 30, 1951 and departed this life November 16, after a courageous battle with cancer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1971 through 1977, including Vietnam from 1971 through1972. He was an avid deer hunter and loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a member of Noah’s Chapel American Christian Church of Rutledge. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Kitts; mother-in-law, Wilma Staley; sisters, Brenda, Helen and Betty Ann Kitts; along with special nephew, Jason Sykes. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah Kitts; mother, Anna Lou Kitts; daughters, Kim Harding, Stacie (Donnie) Defrees, of Rutledge, atnd Krissy Holbert of White Pine; grandson, Devin Holbert, whom he raised as his own son; other grandchildren include Whitlee and Emalee Harding and Zach and Lelia Defrees; brothers, Donnie (Donna) Kitts and Steve (Fonda) Kitts; along with other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Pallbearers: nephews, Justin Kitts, Corey Kitts, Rickey Kitts, Cole Lakins, Rob Sykes and Scott Smith. The family received friends Saturday, November 18 at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at Noah’s Chapel American Christian Church of Rutledge Sunday, November 19, with Bobby Kitts and Kevin Roberts officiating, followed by burial at Noah’s Chapel Cemetery.
