Harold George Ballard, 68, Kodak, passed away Sunday, December 3. He was born and reared in Canada. He moved to the United States to be with his future wife in 2002. He was so proud the day he became a U.S. citizen in January 2015. He was a member and trustee of New Salem Baptist Church, Strawberry Plains. He was a season ticket holder of the Tennessee Smokies, and an avid fan of the Cubs, Yankees and anything VOLS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Florence Keir Ballard and brother, Michael Ballard. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Ballard; son, James Oliver Ballard and wife, Courtney; grandchildren, Keegan, Kameron and Kingsley; brothers, Brian Ballard and wife, Brenda, and Billy Ballard and wife, Noreen; sisters, Anna Pierce and husband, Ken, and Louise Franklin; brother-in-law, Mike Wyatt and fiancé, Gayla Rader; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth O’Barr and husband, Lawrence. Funeral Services were held Friday, December 8 at Bridges Funeral Home, with Pastor Johnny Lane officiating. Family and friends met Saturday, December 9 at Pollard Cemetery for internment.
