Kenneth B. “Cuz” Long Sr., 87, Knoxville, passed away Friday, December 15 at Turkey Creek Medical Center after fighting lung cancer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served during the Korean War. He was retired from KUB as an electrical foreman with 40 years of service. He loved being outdoors, whether he was working in his yard and garden or enjoying fishing, hunting and camping. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Shirley Long; parents, Margaret and Bennie Long; and brother, Arnold “Vern” Long. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth (Jr.) and Kristi Long and Steve and Tina Long; grandchildren, Jacob Long and fiancé, Lindsay Johnson, Jared and Emily Long, Christina Long and Stephanie Long; beloved brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Bob) and Cheryl Long; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 19 at Bridges Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Little officiating. Family and friends met Wednesday, December 20 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment. Pallbearers: Jacob Long, Jared Long, Robert Long, Bennie Lee Long, Raymond Dalton and Jay Sharp. Honorary pallbearer: Jimmy Trent.
