The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) is requiring Mr. Culbertson to develop a Corrective Action Plan to address cleanup of petroleum contamination at the site.

The Corrective Action Plan will be submitted to the TDEC Office on May 12, 2008. If you would like to review or discuss the proposed Corrective Action Plan with the staff of the TDEC, please feel free to contact Mr. Wayne Clifford at (865)594-6035 after the date of the Corrective Action Plan submittal. The TDEC Office will consider written comments regarding the proposed Corrective Action Plan until June 11, 2008 and may decide to hold a public meeting if there is significant public interest. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

The City of Bean Station received HOME Investment Partnership Program funding for a Housing Rehabilitaion project. The City is developing a list of qualified contractors from which contractors will be invited to submit bid packages for houses selected for rehabilitation. All licensed contractors interested in participating in the program must complete a Contractor’s Data Sheet. This form is available at the City Hall 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays. The City encourages the participation of Minority and Female owned businesses. This project is funded under an agreement with Tennessee Housing Development Agency through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
