BLAINE – Physician’s Assistant Haley Blocker has joined Cumberland Gap Medical in Blaine as a new provider.
Blocker grew up in Harrogate. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Special Education, and from Lincoln Memorial University’s Physician’s Assistant program. Blocker said she left her small town at 18 and thought she’d never come back to a small town. Now, small town patients are who she chooses to care for.
“These are my kind of people,” she said.
Blocker chose to provide care at Cumberland Gap Medical because she wants to give back to rural communities. She provides family health care to patients of all ages. She wants every patient she meets to understand she hears them and wants to help them.
Blocker said she has known Cumberland Gap Medical owner Amanda Brown since she was a child. She said when the opportunity was presented to her, she knew she had to take it.
Blocker said she looks forward to serving the residents of Grainger County.
Cumberland Gap Medical is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at 1066 Rutledge Pike, Blaine. Anyone who would like to make an appointment can call
