BEAN STATION – The Grainger County Humane Society (GCHS) held its third annual fishing tournament Saturday, October 2.
The event was held at the Hwy. 25E Lake Access in Bean Station. Redbud Deli donated meals to participants and guests for a donation.
Placing first in the competition, with a $1,000 prize, was Kenneth Smith and Craig Horton, with 12.9 pounds; second place, John Lenz and Ben Boggs, with 11.7 pounds; third place, Tim Woods and Chad Waddell, with 8.9 pounds; fourth place, Kevin Barber and Marvin Evans; fifth place, Matt “The Hammer” Coughlin and Bob Coughlin; sixth place, Tracy Estepp and Brandon Winegar; seventh place, Jimmy Crom and Steve Edmonds; and lunker, Tracy Estepp and Brandon Winegar, with 4.3 pounds.
