FLETCHER, North Carolina – Grainger County 4-H club member Marley Hipsher’s cattle won top awards at the North Carolina Mountain State Fair this past weekend.
Her five-year-old Holstein cow Roxette won first place, Senior Champion and Grand Champion Holstein of the 4-H Junior show. She also won second place for her Brown Swiss winter calf and her Red Holstein fall yearling.
Will Hipsher’s Holstein aged cow Roxanne won first place and was grand champion of the open adult Holstein show. He also won four second place awards for his Brown Swiss winter calf, Holstein junior calf, Red Holstein summer calf and Holstein five-year-old cow Roxette. His Red Holstein fall yearling placed third.
This was the final show of the 2022 fair season.
