RUTLEDGE – Members of the Grainger County Retired Teachers met Thursday, September 10 at Grainger County Park. 

Newly elected officers for the 2020-21 year include the following: President Kay Gowan; Vice President Virginia Coffey; Secretary Darla Leonard; Treasurer Joyce Daughtery; Legislative Al Daughtery; Co-Chaplains Barbara Smith, Glenda Roach and Kay Gowan; and Membership Chair Barbara Morgan. 

Roach shared a presentation about Constitution Day, which is held annually September 17  during Constitution Week September 17-23. Business discussed included plans for the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Retired Teachers Organization. Retired teachers meet three times a year including September, December and March.
