RUTLEDGE – Grainger County Schools will begin the 2020-21 school year Monday, August 17 with a change to its face covering requirement.
The school system will now require face coverings or masks for students in all grades (PreK–12) in common areas. Common areas include hallways, gymnasiums, cafeteria lines and on buses. Exceptions may be made when health reasons preclude the wearing of masks or face coverings.
The school system will provide masks for students and staff.
The wearing of masks or face coverings in classrooms may be required for staff and students for certain instructional settings and ADA requirements.
