Anna Belle Greenlee Smith, 90, Rutledge, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 27, 2022. She was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong member of Central Point Baptist Church. She taught school for many years in Grainger County, including Young and Central Point schools, and was a graduate of Carson-Newman College.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer Southerland and P.E. Smith; and her parents, Charlie and Stella Greenlee. Anna Belle was the only daughter of 11 children. All her brothers preceded her in death, Millard, Carol, Emzee, T.H., Preston, Vaughn, Alvin, Faine, J. Harold and Garland Greenlee.

She is survived by her loving son, Steve Longmire and daughter-in-law, Kim Longmire; granddaughter, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Longmire; step-grandchildren, Justin (Mia and Boyd) Brooks, Whitlee (Nathan) McCroskey, Emalee (Kannon) Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Ridgeview Terrace for the wonderful care given to Anna Belle during her stay at the nursing home.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with funeral to follow at 7 p.m., Rev. Greg Williamson officiating.

Family and friends will meet at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 10 a.m. to go in procession to Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service.

Pallbearers are Drew Burchell, Mickey Greenlee, Jeffery Greenlee, Stacey Greenlee, Stan Greenlee, Dewayne Greenlee and Justin Brooks.
