Carroll Leon Whaley, 79, Blaine, went home to be with the Lord Friday, July 16, 2021. He was a member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam War at Cam Ranh Bay. He enjoyed a quiet life of retirement and loved being outside and spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Hazel Whaley; and brother, Robert Whaley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Faye Whaley, whom he has cared for and loved for 59 years; daughter and son in-law, Lori (Toby) Livesay; grandchildren, Benjamin and Aaliyah Livesay; brother, Terry (Donna) Whaley; sisters, Wanda Williams, Sherry (Chuck) Covington and Karen Whaley; several nieces and nephews; and a very special niece, Sabrina (Joey) Hodge.
The family received friends Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 10 to 1 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Jefferson City. A graveside service was held Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Indian Ridge Cemetery in Blaine, Tennessee with Pastor Gary Satterfield and Reverend John Pinkston officiating.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at UT Medical Center for their care of Mr. Whaley through his illness.
