Gerald Dean Coffey

Gerald Dean Coffey, 79, of Washburn, TN went to be with the Lord December 11, 2022 surrounded by family at his son’s home in Mooresburg, TN. He was born March 31, 1943 at home in Washburn, TN, and is the son of the late Walter Mason “Skeet” Coffey and Edna Eve (Hipshire) Coffey. He is also preceded in death by his brother Jerry Conard “Hoss” Coffey and brother’s wife and children. He was a member of Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and served in the Army in the Vietnam War as a SGT Truck Master.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Dean and Savona Coffey; grandchildren, Ashley Coffey, Dylan (Haley) McNally, Dean Coffey, Hailey Coffey and Jaydin Coffey; great grandchildren, Colton Blanken, Maverly McNally, Ripley McNally and Brinley Coffey; and sisters, Erma Lee (Bob) Buckner, Vicki Lynn (Dewayne) Jordan and Cynthia Robin Hedrick.

Family received friends Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home. Burial will be at 11 a.m., December 14, 2022 at McGinnis-Harrell Cemetery in Washburn, TN with Rev. Clifton Wilmoth officiating.

Pallbearers are Dean Coffey, Dylan McNally, Kenny Scearce, Dewayne Lay, Pete Wolfenbarger and Justin Jordan.
