Paul Douglas Jones, 67, of Bean Station, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at home surrounded by loved ones after a tough battle with cancer. He was born February 19, 1955, the son of the late Alton and Mary Maude Jones of Bean Station.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Lyle, Max, George, and Alton Jr; and sister, Carol Vaughn.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Stacie (Luke) Davy; son, Brad Jones (Jolayna Miller); grandchildren, Deven and Abel Jones, Brittany (Benjamin) Graf, Jonathan Woodard (Collin Webb) and Leslie Pilcher; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Kaiden Graf; beloved brother, Tex Jones; sister, Belva (Cookie) Spoon; and a multitude of close nieces and nephews along with great-nieces and nephews.
Everyone who knew Paul knew that he was a simple man with a big heart and had a love for helping others. He was a jokester who loved to cut up and have a good laugh with those around him. He had a huge passion for fishing and tinkering with lawn mowers. Paul had many close friends who he cared for dearly and he will be greatly missed by many.
A celebration of Paul’s life was held at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. with a service that followed at 8 p.m. Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2022 at Heaths Chapel cemetery in Bean Station.
