Susie Imogene Vineyard, 82, of Wallins Creek, Kentucky, formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee, peacefully went home to be with her Lord Monday, April 20, 2020, at Roane Medical Center. She was a current resident of Renaissance Terrace in Harriman, Tennessee. She was a long-time member of Believer’s Outreach Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee and was strong in her Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Harlan R. Vineyard; parents, General Haig and Otie (Shackleford) Blanton of Harlan County, Kentucky; beloved stepfather, George Caldwell of Wallins Creek, Kentucky; sons, General Haig North and Lonnie North; and sister, Shirley Blanton.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn S. Needham and fiancé, Leith White, Linda (Bobby) Fore and Nancy Vineyard; grandchildren, Nathan Vineyard, Mabry Needham, Caleb Fore, Makayla Fore, Buddy Allen North and Violet North; great-grandchild, Kolten Henderson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family will meet for a graveside service at Vineyard Cemetery in Blaine, Tennessee, at 3 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2020 with Rev. Jimmy Connatser officiating.
