CROSSVILLE – Tori Coffman continues her strong performances in the summer travel season.
The rising Washburn High School junior threw a no-hitter, another shutout and surrendered only one run to lead the Knoxville Explosion 18U softball team to the ISA Mid-Summer Classic Championship last weekend. She also had 16 strikeouts and was named Most Valuable Player for the tournament.
It was the team’s second straight tournament championship. Coffman hurled a perfect game and hit two home runs as the Explosion won the Bringing the Heat tournament in Cleveland.
